' McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II ' Glazed Oil on  21" X 15" on wood back is one of John's earliest creations still in my possession. Painted in 1967, this could very well have been the first of a what is, a long line of glazed oil presentations dedicated to the history of aviation.

By the time he completed this, he had already been in the United States Air Force for twelve years. He was proud of his service and assignment in Southeast Asia but rarely talked about it.

This is where he would reminisce I suppose, through these expressions of brush and paint to the blank open field.

As a military family we moved around a few times but I can remember when this piece hung in his studio upon its final treatments of linseed oil and glazing process.

This being one of John's earliest works,  It is appraised at 3200.00 $$ but retails for only 2800.00 $$ plus shipping. It is available for viewing on location in the gallery by appointment. Contact Ray to schedule
