'WW I Dog Fight' 24" x 18" Glazed Oil on Stretched canvas, one of John's latest contributions. It is not only a picture of set rivals engaging in intense battle, it is also an experiment in lighting and tone as the sun sets below the clouds to the west. The artist brings a defined contrast between color and shadow in this depiction of a chase so few would ever experience. The viewer can see 

The actual piece hangs in the architect  design office of Jim Lucachick in Bemidji Minnesota, who also served as that communty's county commissioner at one time. I'm sure he'd let you see it if you stopped by on your way through.
