Now you can own a valuable J. Simonis rendering for less....From Jack's affordable print collection...'Light on the Forest Floor' original was completed in 1983, the final project concluding John's achievement in securing a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with Bemidji State University.
This is an actual location on Lake Plantagenet south of Bemidji, Minnesota. The precise area is part of Camp Thunderbird, a traditional boys and girls summer camp with the lake itself separating the boys camp on the west side of Plantagenet from the girls camp on the east side. This particular site is found on the girl's side. A serene open area surrounded by evergreens, pauples, elms and oak suitable for quiet reflection.
This piece articulates an appreciation my father embraced when it came to even the most basic elements in nature. The creek, the shadows and the vibrant variations of the color green truly bring about a calm, warm sensation of peacefulness and tranquility the longer it is viewed.
