The first of John's prints. The old historical marker still stands today. Go see it if you ever drive through.
Compelled by personal sentiments I chose to commemorate the place where I first  learned to read, write and do arithmetic. 
Growing up on the farm in Trail Minnesota where life was much simpler was a very special time for me. A unique and challenging life so many will never know.
The day began well before the crack of dawn. After sweeping out the barn and milking some fifteen or so  Guernsies, it was breakfast and then off to school.
I hope those viewing this piece enjoy the arrangement of these simple basic elements contributed by man and nature, complimenting each other from decades gone by. It is now a historical marker and still stand today in the modest little community on the edge of the plains.
